I initially became involved with block prints as a way to illustrate the poetry I was writing and printing with my C & P letterpress. I was taken in by the graphic quality of a linoleum block carving; the importance of a line, a space, the way to create texture and motion with the slice of a carving tool. I created a series of wildflowers and ravens with lino blocks. I have recently been exploring tetra pak prints, collographs, monotypes and monoprints. Many I embellished with silk thread, oil pastels and colored pencils.
